Who’s Available for Adoption

If you would like to apply to adopt a PRCT dog, please read about Our Process and then complete Our Application. If none of the dogs listed seem to fit what you are looking for, you are still welcome to complete an application. Please indicate whether you are interested in a toy, miniature or standard Poodle, and list any other information you want us to consider. We will keep your application on file for 6 months. If, during that 6 month period, you see a dog posted here or on our Facebook page in which you have an interest, please call us at 203-206-3420 and we will review your application.

  • Finn

    Finn is a 2-3 year old Maltese Mix. Finn came to us from a shelter but we suspect that he came from a Puppy Mill because of his spinning when he is in a small space. He does quite well in open spaces. He is very sweet and loving. We think he is 2-3 years old and weighs 7 pounds. Very cute!

  • Oreo

    Oreo,  a 3 year old, 15 pound Poodle mix came to us when his family moved from PA to CT and didn't realize that CT is not apartment dog  friendly. Heartbroken, he was surrendered to us.
    Oreo will be neutered soon. He is a quiet, kind, gentle and loving guy who doesn't mind being groomed and walks well on lead!

  • Possum

    Possum, a 2-3 year old, 10 pound Yorkie/Chihuahua mix (we think) is ready for his new home after being in a not so good environment where he lost almost all of his hair. It's now almost fully grown in!

    He loves to play! He’s respectful of other dogs and cats. Sometimes with men he will bark but he quickly recovers!

    We have had him for quite a while and we love him!

    Taz is a 9 month old, 10 pound "Tweenie" (too big to be a toy, too small to be a mini) puppy who is every bit a puppy! High energy and likes to have fun!

    He was living with an older and smaller toy Poodle who did not appreciate his fun-ness! If you have the patience, this guy is for you!

  • Tirzah

    Meet Tirzah (Tear-za) a true miniature poodle who is 3 years of age and weighs 19 pounds.

    She is lovely! She is sweet! She is incredibly active! If anyone wanted to do some training we feel this girl could/would be an exceptional AGILITY GIRL. Yet she would like nothing more than lying in your lap watching some shows as well.

  • Paddy O'Malley

    Meet Mr. Paddy O'Malley, the most darling 2 year old Shih Tzu!

    Incredibly sweet, quiet and loving!
    While living in a multi dog home there was an accident where one of his eyes was injured. It was removed. He's is okay about it. We are too. He is a GEM!

    Paris is a toy Poodle who weighs 8 pounds and is 3 years old. She is a cutie patootie who recently came in with her housemates, Stormy and Paddy O'Malley. Equally as sweet and loving. She is reserved at first.


    She would love to be adopted with her sister, Stormy, if possible.

    We welcome Stormy into rescue. She is a 2 year old silver toy Poodle who weighs 8 pounds.

    A little on the shy side but is opening up daily. Very sweet!
